Vållö

The idea with Vållö was to design a watering can that could be stacked and save transportation costs. Since transport isn’t an issue when people have the can at home, I didn’t want the shape to be affected negatively. I wanted to give the can an organic, fluid shape, in harmony with plants and running water. By using different templates I was able to sculpt a prototype that felt perfect in every way. The final watering can has an appearance that encourages you to have it out on display, instead of hidden away. Vållö won the Award for Best Swedish Design 2002.
