HYLLA

HYLLA shelf was part of the PS Collection 2005. It consists of a frame with grooves where shelves can be slid into place.

The wood is core wood which comes from the core of a tree. It is normally considered waste because of its shifting colour, but I wanted to utilise that. It became a carrier for the shelves. Standing with two legs on the floor the frame needs only two screws to fix it to the wall. After that it can carry plenty of books.

The shelves are produced in a colour range that goes from darker to lighter green and to white and also have a dimension that is adapted to Magazines. If the user wants to display a tall vase he simply can take out one shelf to create sufficient space.
