KNIVIG is an aluminium cast wall sconce for candles and flowers.

Knivig is an aluminium casted wall sconce for candles and flowers. A flat shape makes a bend and turns into a thicker arm with a ring at the end. A glass tube rests in this ring with the possibility to provide flowers with water or put in the aluminium insert and light a candle. I wanted to design a wall decoration that could change with the seasons. In winter‚ candle light gives us the energy of light and warmth‚ while in spring and summer flowers can give us the energy of growth. I love the repetition of this product. It reminds me of dark corridors lit up with torches, or a lane with trees.
