KONTANT is a piggybank with attitude.

It was launched in the IKEA PS collection 2003. Collecting things is something children like to do and learn from. By collecting money children learn to delay reward in order to get greater pleasure in the long run. This piggybank sits upright like a teddy bear and is not the kind of bank you smash in pieces. Instead it can be filled and emptied over and over again, or can be used as a bookstand. KONTANT is re-launching in ceramic in the IKEA MUSEUM SHOP in March 2016.
